Amanda Brown

Job Title: Registered Manager

Amanda was appointed Registered Manager in January 2017
she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with 30 years in the care industry. Amanda is a certified instructor in Moving & Handling, holds a level 3 in palliative care, level 2 in dementia awareness, and coaches her team to their full potential. Amanda strives to provide a safe and well-led service and a person-centred care environment at Pelham house, which provides a homely atmosphere. Amanda has a real passion for her role and strives to deliver excellence in care.

Sam Tucknott

Job Title: Chef

Description:
Sam, our chef uses the freshest, locally sourced ingredients to prepare delicious, nutritionally balanced meals throughout the day. Sam has gained 14 years’ experience as a chef, he has a real passion and drive to deliver the very highest quality menu’s, which are varied, we are also proud to have achieved the 5-star standard award. Our menu features classic dishes alongside regional cuisine and is updated regularly, ensuring there are a range of options to choose from, every day, alongside homemade meals, a range of snacks are available each day for our residents to enjoy. Wine, sherry, beer and non-alcoholic beverages are offered with meals. Sam also works alongside residents to understand their nutritional requirements and food preferences to ensure their needs are met. Sam also caters for our themed events that take place throughout the year.

Danny Kington

Job Title: Activities Coordinator

Description:

Danny was a war veteran and a local Branch Chairman and welfare caseworker with the Royal British Legion since 2002. In 2015 he received the medal of The Order of Mercy for my welfare work with veterans in both the UK and overseas.
Danny still works as a part-time freelance art teacher , he currently runs cartoon, caricature and book illustration drawing workshops for groups of children, teens and adults, including children with special educational needs and adults with learning difficulties.
Danny is passionate about care and respect for the elderly and vulnerable in society. He Says ‘Working at Pelham House represents a wonderful opportunity to broaden and continue my involvement in this sphere. The excellent record of care and protection of its residents throughout the covid-19 pandemic makes me proud to be associated with Pelham House and to feel that I am at last making a more active, frontline contribution to supporting and safeguarding our most vulnerable citizens in these challenging times’

Kim Dalvarez

Kim, our compliance administrator joined Pelham House in May 2017, she brings a wealth of experience having gained 12 years in the care industry. Kim ensures we are offering the highest quality care in line with CQC requirements, our company standards and company policies. Kim also supports and develops colleagues to ensure our residents are receiving the very best care within our care settings. Kim loves to interact with our residents and has a professional approach to delivering excellence in care.

Job Title: House Keeping

Description:
Kim heads up our Housekeeping team, Kim has many years’ experience working as a head housekeeper in care settings.   We recognize that the housekeeping team play a very important role in making sure that all areas of our homes are clean and safe places where staff can care for our residents. Thorough cleaning is carried out every day both in resident’s rooms as well as all communal areas throughout the home.

Description:
Denise our activities coordinator joined Pelham House in September 2019, Pelham House has a vibrant atmosphere designed to help residents get the most out of life, and we’re here to support them every step of the way. We have a packed activities calendar to suit all tastes and abilities. From exercise classes for keeping active to flower arranging, painting, cooking and music sessions designed to keep the creative minds flowing, there’s lots on offer for residents to get involved with and activities are tailored to meet individual needs. We also have our own adapted vehicle, Denise enjoys arranging trips out to local garden centres and other local attractions. Denise also holds regular resident meetings to ensure we are listening to what our residents have to say. Denise shares our passion to deliver excellence in care.

Blue

Job Title: Companion Dog

Description:
Blue has been coming into the home since September 2019, Blue serves as a companion dog, our residents faces light up when they see him, he will happily sit and be patiently petted.
Blue comes in Monday to Friday and goes home in the evening.
